Feldenkrais Method®

Within the Feldenkrais method, listening happens through movement. I personally like to describe Feldenkrais sessions as a ‘movement meditation’. The method is done in two formats: In an Awareness Through Movement group class, students are verbally guided through a structured movement sequence and pay attention to their sensations, feelings, thoughts and the ease or quality within which they move. In a Functional Integration lesson as a teacher I listen to how the student moves through my hands by moving the person in a gentle, noninvasive way. Listening through movement opens the possibility to develop a fuller self-image, less pain and strain but more ease, confidence, and ultimately more choices of how you move through your life.

March 15 / 22 / 29 / April 5 / 12 / 19

Pricing: Drop-In $20 / 6-class package $110

Everyone is welcome and you do not need any previous experience. Most of the group lessons will be lying on your back or sitting while moving in a gentle, mindful way. You will move in your own pace and movement range – Feldenkrais exercises are not about doing a movement in a “correct” or “good” way, the movements are simply a doorway to connect with yourself, to get to know yourself through movement and over time develop new patterns to move with more ease.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me prior to the lesson.

Refund/Exchange Policy:
Exchanges: If you register for In Person and have to miss the class, you can catch up with the Online group if you wish (any Online class of your choice), and you can exchange a missed Online class for an In-Person class.

Eva’s soft yet clear voice creates a welcoming space where I can fully focus on my body and movements. Her lightness and humor make the atmosphere feel open and playful, allowing me to relax and truly be myself. She explains everything in a straightforward and friendly way, always adding a bit of fun that makes the process enjoyable. After every ATM guided by Eva, I’ve discovered new and deeper connections within myself, leaving with a sense of calm and comfort in my body.
– Pernille

I experienced my whole body in a new wayI would like to repeat that!
– John

In the Feldenkrais group lesson I can carry out all the instructions with ease, even if they are new movement sequences – and after a Feldenkrais group lesson I feel surprisingly flexible!

Sound Art

In my artistic projects, I strive to enable listening. I create experiences where the audience is part of the artwork by engaging or participating in the process. It is important to me to work directly with the community in meaningful ways.

At the moment, I’m in a transition phase expanding my previous experience as an instrumental performer into working in the field of sound installations as well as experimental text scores. I work with everyday objects or materials found in the natural world and create sound worlds through research and improvisation. My vision is to keep exploring this way of working and to find my unique blend of mediums to tell stories – always with sound as the primary source.

For me, listening to sound is a source of inspiration and connection. The art of listening can be a door to community building, which is an urgent need in our world today.

Stay tuned – more about my artistic projects coming soon!
